I've lived here for over a semester and what i can say is that pray for good roommates. Definitely get tuside the dorm because it can 100% mess with you. Other than that its a lot of fun and you get good exercise.

Salley hall is so unique. Unique smells; unique animal life; unique color schemes; unique industrial feel; unique ceiling plaster; unique stairwell stain art. The designers of Salley hall did an excellent job of translating the bleak environment of a prison into the warm hallways and rooms of this dorm. The elevators always encourage us to do our cardio and take the stairs instead. Thank you elevators! The three dryers will remind you not to take anything for granted. My favorite part about Salley is the connectedness one feels with one's neighbors. The builders were so considerate when they made the walls so thin you could hear someone in the bathroom next to you. You never have to go to the bathroom alone! I love Salley Hall!

It's an old dorm so the setup is a bit strange compared to the newer ones (ex you kind of live with your suitemates, they're right next door to you) also might have some funky bathroom mold. But it is right next to Fresh Foods and the study room in each room is pretty nice. Only roaches I've seen are in the stairwell.

It’s an average dorm room. The rooms have a weird layout, but FSU took care of the roach thing. It’s a nice dorm. If anyone complains about the dirty bathroom, then they should have been taught how to clean up after themselves. Clean your damn living space. The hall is only as dirty as you let it be.

Not the best hall on campus, but it's safe, sturdy, and right by Fresh Foods. Bring a dehumidifier and some cleaning supplies for move-in and you should be fine!
(as for bug problems, just take the trash out often and don't leave open food out where they can get to it)

Definitely the worst dorm on FSU’s campus—and it’s quite far from almost everything FSU has to offer, but it isn’t all bad. There is a dining hall adjacent to it—literally a 15 second walk—which is super convenient, and the long walks to everything else can help you stay in shape...?

It's really just the worst dorm out of all the dorms at fsu. The claustorphobic atmosphere will make you depressed and want to off yourself, if the roaches and mold dont do so already. Fsu likes to try to convince students "it's not that bad" but anyone with a brain that's been in Salley can tell you why it sucks.
