My kids have been training at Rising Phoenix for almost a year, and seeing their growth has been incredible to experience. Grandmaster Olds and the entire staff are always positive and encouraging. Responsibility, respect, pushing oneself harder, and many other traits that translate outside the dojang are taught daily.

My wife and I joined our kids and have been training the past six months. We quickly developed a passion to train as often as we can. Getting to train alongside our kids has been a rewarding experience.

I can’t say enough good things about the entire Rising Phoenix team! There’s a spot for anybody, regardless of age, size, or natural abilities. It’s also a great activity with flexibility for those with challenging schedules.

My son has been at the Dojang for almost 2 yrs now. He loves it! Made new friends and loves his master's! I can't wait to see him grow more and learn each technique as the yrs pass. I have seen kiddos so scared and frightening but once on the mats that goes away and learn how to get the confidence and discipline themselves. Great environment and respectful staff all around.

We have been a part of the Rising Phoenix Martial Arts family for over a year and a half now. It is a great dojang and martial arts family to be a part of. Our daughter loves going to classes and the many events thru out the year. Her confidence, strength, and knowledge has grown so much. Rising Phoenix Martial Arts is a fantastic, family-friendly place to learn everything the martial arts can offer. Striking, grappling, self defense, tradition, discipline, respect, confidence, flexibility, balance, perseverance: it's all part of the curriculum at Rising Phoenix. My daughter and I have been training there for several years. She has gained confidence, discipline, and has made dozens of friends. I have lost nearly 50 pounds since I started training and get to make memories doing something fun with my kid several times a week. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

The school's head instructor, Grandmaster John Olds, is an extremely gifted martial artist with endless patience and a deep love for teaching both children and adults. He's great with the kids; I've never once seen him get upset, frustrated, or impatient. The rest of the staff are also kind and patient and are a huge part of why we continue to train there.

Come in for a free class and get to know the staff and students. You won't regret it.

When I was trying to find a place for my son to join I remember seeing this place had only five stars. After attending classes for about 3 months now I can honestly say they deserve it. The level of care the instructors give to the little ones is great. They never get frustrated with the kids and I can say that about all of them. I am also a huge fan of the community aspect, the parents are nice but it's great that Master Olds has little community events that allow the parents and kids to interact outside of the class.

I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this place and highly encourage that you have your kids take the free class like we did and I bet they will be just as hooked as my son.
