I decided to start polo classes because I love horses, but I was a bit hesitant since I hadn't ridden a horse in 10 years. When I arrived at OC Polo, Heather welcomed me with open arms. Besides being a great instructor, she is very kind and friendly. She taught us as much as possible in our first class. We learned some rules of the game, practiced with the balls, got on the horses, and then we were ready to play! It was totally fun. At the end of the class, I strained my wrist a bit while using the mallet, and it hurt a little. Without hesitation, she offered me ice to reduce the swelling (yes, it takes time to get used to the mallet's weight, posture, and other aspects). I have nothing but good things to say about this place and the people who work there. If you are still thinking about whether to take the class, I highly recommend it! You will be in very good hands, and Heather is the best instructor! ☺️

I’ve been to OC Polo twice now to watch matches and each time, I’ve been so impressed. The facility is stunning with beautiful architecture, the cleanest stalls I’ve ever seen, and happy ponies. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. I’m definitely going to host an event here. If I weren’t already married, I’d definitely have this spot on my venue list! On-site catering, country feel, and only 30 min from Newport Beach. Absolutely exquisite!

I first went to OC Polo to watch a polo match. I was very excited to find out they gave lessons so my husband and I took a lesson and we were hooked (pun intended ha ha)! This is the most fun you can have on horseback! It combines riding skills with teamwork and competition! You don't have to have any skills when you start because they will teach you everything in a very supportive, collaborative environment. But wait, there's more...the owners are sooo friendly and welcoming and the staff reflects that feeling entirely. Heather, the Club Manager is amazing...she teaches, she will help you find a horse if/when you're ready to buy, and she helps you with anything you need. You don't have to buy a horse, though, their school horses are better than any lesson horse I have ever seen. Sarah, the barn manager is the kindest person on earth. I read a previous negative review and I'm pretty sure that was written by someone who just didn't qualify for a job there. They are quite picky with their staff and it shows. They need grooms who can really ride and help care for horses, not someone who just thinks they can ride and thinks they know about caring for horses...(we know who they are). As a current horse owner at this club, I am very grateful that they are this picky with their staff! There are many other staff members, too many to mention here, but I would just be repeating my praises because they are all fantastic! Everyone should check this place out, it is worth a visit, but be forewarned, you won't want to leave!

This is a beautiful place to attend events! The staff are the most amazing people. You don't even have to be involved in horses, the venue is amazing for any type of event and you have the added benefit of seeing these majestic animals! Thank you everyone at OC Polo! OC Polo is truly a great group of individuals and horses. I started taking lessons with them about three years ago and felt welcome from the moment I arrived. Heather and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable and passionate about the sport. It is a blast to play and spend time with such a great group of people. I definitely recommend checking it out- even if you don't have any horse experience, they can teach you!

Love OC Polo! I started out taking lessons with Heather - great instructor. These are an affordable way to get into the sport for people of a variety of skill levels. If you don't want to ride, they have great weekly matches that are open to the public to watch - definitely worth checking out.

I had a blast learning the game of polo for one of there first polo clinics on their new site. I have very little experience riding but they made it easy. Heather and the staff are awesome. It shows how passionate they are with the sport. It’s only a 30 min. drive from newport and you feel like you are in the outdoors. I would definitely do it again and their property is state of the art.

Was looking for excitement and came across OC Polo. Went for intro lesson (I had very little horse experience) met Heather and staff making it very comfortable, inviting, and coming back for more. Highly recommend coming out ride a horse swing a mallet hit the ball and get great coaching. Speed Power Flow!
