As much as I hate doing it the course maintenance has gone down hill… Mastodon has been my go to course for the past two years, staff has always been super nice and friendly and course conditions have always been worth the price. I played this course Saturday for the first time since the beginning of the year and I was very disappointed… I understand we are in a drought but the condition on the fairways and greens were not worth it…. Fairways were 90% dry dirt no grass.. lots of ground under repair on the greens with dead spots and not to mention they aerated the greens already… there was no discount for it.. I still have hope for the course but just not this year

It's not a bad course. Greens were in great shape. Clubhouse bathrooms need a really bad update. Lol. I played the back 9. And if you haven't played here before, be prepared to get lost. There is not much signage as to where the next hole is. 1 thing I did like is the greens are pretty challenging. With some major major slopes. Over all fun course.

Course wasn't the greatest, but the price was right. I'm sure some people complain about the smells from the nearby dairy farm, but it didn't bother me. Course directions could use some improvement, I found myself driving in circles several times. Overall pretty chill place, I would come back.

Pretty solid course. Unfortunate timing when I went cause their greens were still regrowing from being vandalized it seemed like. They have some really nice newer carts too.

Course is a good mix of challenging and some easier parts. Greens have some levels and some twists that make for some interesting putting. Just try not to plunk your tee shot in the water on the first hole lol

First the good. The tech on the carts was great and fun to use. The back nine was in much nicer condition than the front. It was a fun course to play. Now the problems... The greens are ripped up with dead spots and growth damage and really poor spots where on several holes we had to move our balls as you can't put through the mess. Most tee boxes appeared to not have been moved for a while so we teed up close enough. One box had barely any grass on it, just all dead spots and only a few were flat enough to not be above or below your ball.

We've played this course numerous times over the year and each time it's a little different but that what's what the game needs to keep it interesting. Yes there's goose feces on the course as with nearly every golf course in the US, move on its not that bad. They're extremely busy on the weekends early morning like most courses in the area. Played it Sunday morning and my son got his first chip-in from 71 yards out on hole nine not to shabby for his first year golfing. Keep up the good job grounds keepers. If you get the chance check out the exhibit that make this coarse famous. They have 3 virtual golf machines to keep you entertained during the off season now as well. New management is doing great with the course and upkeep of the grounds.

Would stay away from this golf course. They're better golf courses around that will treat you better.

Called a month before they had the night golf scramble and put my name and number down for a 4 person team, day of the event myself and 3 of my friends, apart of my team all drove an hour to get there. We show up and try to pay and everything and they say they don't have any name by that and they were full. I showed them on my phone when i called and said they were completely full. I was like there is nothing you can do? The old woman manager came out and was the absolute most rude person ive ever talked to. If i had to guess i was one of the first teams on the list and they had members or the owners friends that wanted to play in it and they didnt know me by name (because ive never played there) and just bumped me off the list to make room for them. But i got zero notice. I can see why someone would vandalize their greens (after reading other reviews months ago because we didnt get the chance to even golf) if they treat people like the way that old lady treated us. Take your money elsewhere.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS COURSE! Got charged 37 dollars to golf on sandbox greens and concrete fairways. Tee box 2 was a mound of sand. Smells awful and overall a horrible experience. Isn’t worth 8 bucks
