With its intense training, encouraging atmosphere, and outstanding instruction, it is by far the most relevant and engaging form of self-defense that you will experience. I’ve had other martial arts training, and Nathan is by far the most knowledgeable, caring, and motivating instructor who I have learned from. The training will improve your coordination, speed, explosiveness, and will put you in a more prepared and aware mindset. Nathan is a very creative instructor, who always develops new ways to train and convey concepts to his students. Nathan is also very encouraging to his new students and will take the extra time to make them feel welcome. He is very passionate about teaching students and will devote as much time and effort as the student wants, in order to help them with questions, master techniques, and learn concepts. I’m thankful that I found East Texas Krav Maga, because it has helped me become more prepared and capable of defending myself and my family. Thank you, Nate, for your outstanding instruction.

I initially found this place looking for a self defense class. They are teaching me that, but also so much more. From the first time I visited everyone was welcoming and the instructors did a great job of making me feel comfortable jumping right into a class even though I had never been to anything like it before. This place has helped me train and get prepared for going into the Texas State Trooper Academy. All the strikes and techniques has helped lay a foundation for being able to build upon some other techniques at the academy. I like that they teach good ground work defenses and will take the time to show you each move. One of the more specific things that has helped me become in better shape for fighting is the drills at the end of the class where you have to put into practice what you learned throughout that class period. The instructor also teaches you to have a warrior/fighters mentality. Which has helped me greatly in the academy when I am fighting with people bigger than me. I know I would not be as successful in the fighting portion of my academy if I had not taken Krav Maga. But not just at any Krav Maga location. I have been to other locations and this one is by far the most knowledgable and I like the fact that they partner with Freedom Defense Training. They go hand in hand together and you can always keep learning more advance techniques or skills. You will not find a better place to train and gain real world defense skills.
