Love this dojo! They take kids that are preschool age (3 or 4 depending on maturity) all the way up to adult children! (Man child's and rebellious women) haha! All kidding aside, the kids' teacher is great with kids, including those with issues such as autism or attention disorders.
Kids and adults will learn various martial arts styles and self defense so you can be confident when you're out and about that you can protect yourself.
The adult instructors are very knowledgeable and are passionate about teaching. They're professional and happy to answer questions and break moves apart to help you understand.
The best part of this school is all the friends you will make. This place is like a second home and extended family for many.
They frequently have trial specials to see if you like it and are a good fit before committing. My kid started on a trial and we've been there ever since!

We had the worst experience ever there , it was my son second session and it was his first group class , so he didn’t focus completely , it was a time that my son was ok , the lady who was the leader she worked with every kid when it was my son turn and he was waiting to do the lesson with her she ignored him deliberately . Next time when we got there again he wasn’t focused completely instead of helping him (the lady had almost four guys who could help my son)the man came to me and with a rude , aggressive tone asked me to take my son out of the class . They didn’t even give him a chance to stay . He was upset outside for a while and crying even more annoying after all happened she called me offering refund my money . No thank you , you need to be more patient . Especially that man needs to learn be polite .he throw my son shows away in front of me .

Defense Lab Hays is top notch. My daughter has been attending classes for a little over a year. Her confidence, leadership, over all attitude has improved 100%. The skills she has learned will last her a life time. I also can’t say enough great things about the instructors, they care so much for their students. The entire staff is so positive and encouraging which pushes the kids to want to learn more.

I highly recommend trying a class especially if your son/daughter struggles with self confidence or just being shy in general.

We love defense lab! Their instructors are amazing! My daughter has always been very shy and we are impressed with her improvements. Defense lab has not only taught her how to defend herself but given her a boost in confidence! Our little one has just started with DL. She is our social butterfly. In the little amount of time she has taking classes she has learned so much! Defense lab not only teaches our kids karate but teaches them respect and confidence. They really take their time to make sure they are doing good both at home and in class. Highly recommend!!

My daughter loves going to classes at Defence Lab. The instructors are positive, and encouraging, no matter what your skill level. They make sure the students also keep the same positivity towards each other. My daughter has grown greatly in fitness and confidence since she has started going here.

I can’t say enough about DL! My husband and son have been attending classes over a year - my daughter and I joined them this past spring. The positive changes in my kids have been awesome! Not just Increased focus, respect and discipline - but my 10 year old son has developed leadership skills and self confidence that my husband and I are so happy to see. My 8 year old daughter loves that we can all do something together instead of mom and dad just sitting there watching (not gonna lie - I’m hooked! It’s great exercise!). I am not worried about my kiddos being able to defend themselves if need be. The instructors are top notch - they truly get to know you and know how to bring the best out in each of us individually! I HIGHLY recommend Defence Lab Hays!
