As a builder, I hate building stuff in Lubbock Texas especially carports it cost so much for the homeowner they just changed the rules again what every home owner will have to spend at least 8000 more for a single corport
If you are a resident and Lubbock
Call these people who are making those rules
Urge them to take it down
You are right have been taken away you have no say how you want to build a carport. You will have to follow hundred percent them right now. I mean you the homeowner as a builder, I will stay out of Lubboc

Why do we have to go to Levelland to see a rodeo or a monster truck show? I just went to the tiny town of Abilene to go to the Zoo! The closest amusement park is in Amarillo! We go to Littlefield to swim in a real pool instead of a splash pad! I picked up a Lubbock visitors guide and it was pitiful! I don’t care about the whineries restaurants bars, or golf courses! What in the hell ever happened to kid friendly things to do? Lubbock is the absolute worst dirt blown hell hole that I have ever seen! I have lived in this area all of my life and I can now say with confidence that I am ashamed of lubbock Tx! Btw, the crime rate in lubbock is worse than El Paso! That says a lot about the don’t give a damn attitude of this putrid town!

I'm not sure about the all negative reviews here but this is the forst time I came to the building for something I needed for planning and zoning.

I was greeted the second I walked in and was asked how I could be helped. The service was prompt and straight forward. The staff was friendly and very informative.

I had a fast easy experience here, no complaints.

Reported several issues of people illegally dumping stuff behind my house and they never do anything. I've had to take items to recycling or pay to dispose if it myself. This department is useless unless they want to charge homeowners for what other people do to their property.

Don't get me started on other issues I've reported and never got handled

Waited 30 minutes to get a permit, while 10 other ladies sat around talking and eating popcorn. Same thing everytime I come here. This was the longest wait, and nobody knew where she was. Nobody attempted to get me help either. Someone definitely needs to be supervising this group in the permit office. Very unprofessional, especially to be an office run by the city!

The Medical Examiner Office Manager was rude, short, and uncaring. She blatantly gave my Mother the wrong information two weeks ago, and then when we called today, she tried to chide us, and was extremely rude because she misinformed us. My Mom asked to speak to her Supervisor, and she was told that she didn't have one. When asked again for the name of her Supervisor, she said that she would have her Supervisor call us.....I thought she didn't have one. She hung up on my Mother. I completely understand why Lubbock County does not have a working ME office, and everything had to ho through Tarrant County.

I want to thank Mrs. Covarrubio in building safety for a painless registration/permit process. She is awsome and needs a raise! I've dealt with a lot of permits in a lot of cities and I love Lubbock.
