Recently joined champs Academy for my son, he is learning to Jitsu. Staff is very professional and trainers are really friendly and professional.
Giving four stars for a reason
1) Need a proper change room facility
2) water dispenser does not have dispensing glasses -if you have a bottle, you can refill it but if you forgot, then you cannot use a water.

Overall, it’s really great place for kids to learn the skills. I would recommend people. .

My children have been attending Champs Academy HQ for over a year now. They are currently enrolled in their jiu-jitsu classes, and we have already seen a huge improvement in their skills, discipline, and confidence. As a parent, it’s amazing to watch their growth, and I also enjoy how the lessons are entertaining for us to watch.

If you’re looking for a martial arts school that prioritizes skill, character building, and fun, I cannot recommend Champs Academy HQ enough. This place has exceeded our expectations!

I brought my son to Champs Academy for their free trial class in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My son instantly knew that he wanted to join. We felt welcome and comfortable from the start, and have ever since. The coaches are amazing (Alvaro, Shiv, Sam, Ben); attentive, kind and supportive to all the kids. My son has taken different class options but wanted to start competing. We entered him into the in-house competition just months after joining and to our surprise, he won his division. He felt so proud of himself.

If you are looking for martial arts for your kids in Barrie, this one is the best. It’s a family operating and professional approach.
They have same trainers for years and kids love them
I know them personally for 4 years. My 2 boys always excited to go there . Very affordable fees. They also offering onsite and online training, which is good alternative in our days .
Quality uniforms is included in membership fees. Facility is very clean and after renovation looks sharp and fresh. Very good program and location.

High level technical coaching. Friendly, welcoming environment to all affiliations. Part family gym and also a great place for competitors to train. Skilled students at all belt levels. The owners clearly love BJJ and are helping grow the sport in Barrie area. No cult leader vibes just pure martial arts. Best BJJ gym in town and one of the best open mat in Ontario !

Class is fun for kids, teaching them discipline and focus. The ability to keep them disciplined and focused is fair and keeps kids engaged in the activity. The constant and post session feedback sets goals for kids to work to, setting small incremental goals that aid their growth, teaches feasible and obtainable goals for when they get older.
