When I say I wish I could shop here daily! The quality and the items and the setup are perfect! Service is amazing from looking for something new to picking out seafood and meats!

I love how you can hand pick flowers and they wrap them for you making it so unique and special.

Also love the cafe the salads and daily specials are so delicious. My go-to is the steak salad I cannot get enough! It’s a great everyday spot where you can grab a bite and work at the same time or just meet with some friends to catch up.

This is the best grocery store I have ever been to. It blew my expectations out of the water. This place is extraordinary. The items are of amazing quality, and there are brands I have never seen before. It's a treasure hunt in every single aisle. The staff is incredible—very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I enjoy talking to them. They're also very knowledgeable about all the items in the store. I have never experienced anything like this in a grocery store. I am so impressed.

Supermercado filial de HEB especializado en alimentos orgánicos y gourmet. Buen surtido de frutas y verduras. No se diga en embutidos y quesos. Cuenta con un restaurante con un menú reducido pero a precios accesibles y muy bien preparados. Eso si, hay que llevar un abrigo pues la temperatura interior es baja. ?

My favorite store in S Austin, TX hands down!!! Whether it’s meat, seafood, veggies, bulk spices, or craft beer this is the place!!!

Best selection of beer overall anywhere on a storefront because they carry every available Samuel Smith beer from England sold in the USA. The N Lamar location does not have Samuel Smith! Whether local or international beers they are the spot, especially the Belgian section! The best thing about this location is several years ago they put in the tap wall so you can buy crowlers and growlers of seasonal beers and specialty beers from around the USA. Don’t forget the local breweries products available here as well!!!

You won’t be disappointed here I assure you. I simply don’t believe or trust anyone who says they don’t like this store!!!

I got robbed by a lazy, angry meat packer employee, basically.

Went to the fresh meat place yesterday (August 27) at about 9 p.m., ordered 5 things and asked for them to be wrapped individually, I asked twice to make sure it was clear. Reason I asked for that was basically so I know what I'm eating since the burgers are all shaped the same. This angered the older guy behind the counter because it meant more work although I could have just ordered them one at a time and waited for him to wrap them each and it would have been same difference but I guess psychologically the thought of knowing he was doing more work angered him.

So what he does is he puts everything in one package anyways because he's going to do whatever he fells like doing. So he gives me the package with the three burgers inside and I'm like "No, I want them individually wrapped, I asked twice?" He goes, "Yes, and I did individually wrap them," and by that he meant that he wrapped them individually but with one price label on a big wrapper wrapping everything, so that way he doesn't have to price 3 items just one but it also means I have no idea what is in each wrapper because they are all shaped like identical burger patties. This is 100% work avoidance but I didn't want to get into it with him so I just said ok.

I get home and I find out he charged me $10 for the hatch pepper with sausage that was 2 for $10 even though there was only one left, it was the last one so it should have been $5 or maybe $7 or whatever the price is for just one and not full $10 price for 2 as I only bought one, the last one. So then I realized this guy was angry about me asking for individually wrapped burgers and decided to rob me by overcharging and hoping I wouldn't notice.

So that is not good, Central Market's not supposed to hire lazy people that are also thieves, that's the whole point of Central Market. Granted he doesn't get the extra $5 he robbed me of but it's still a punitive action he took because he was angry and that's not good. That or he can't tell the difference between 1 and 2 which is improbable considering his job.

I have been to a few stores around the globe that maybe rival Central Market, however, what stands out in my mind is the quality of seasonal, farm-to-market foods, hard-to-find items, and abundant delicacies.

Need heirloom tomatoes, the sweetest watermelon, choices of mushrooms, fresh deli items, wine, or the flakiest croissants? Check, check, check, and YES, they have these things and so much more.

Arrived to the market wherein you forgot to self care and perhaps are famished, never worry as you just need to step into their café for a quick bite. You can then get on with your shopping having tamed that growling tummy.

Beyond what's to buy, you will find service prepared to cater to your wants and needs. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff are plentiful, respectful, and genuinely available to inform, educate, find, listen, and deliver superlative service.

Well run and managed, with a clean store that is thoughtfully designed and well maintained. Even when busy, I feel I can take my time and that I have plenty of space.

This place is absolutely amazing the food is top notch in my opinion. I have the burger with Swiss and fries and my mom had the same. It was absolutely delicious. If it wasn't for the prices I would definitely go every day for lunch since my work is down the block.
