The coaches demonstrate exceptional patience with our 3-year-old. Initially unsure of his ability to adapt we were pleasantly surprised to witness his growing enthusiasm for classes under Professor bruce and his team's guidance. What truly impressed us was seeing Professor Bruce himself actively involved in teaching the children, reflecting his expertise as a first-degree black belt. We eagerly anticipate enrolling our second child when they turn 3. Meanwhile, I've embarked on my own Brazilian jiu-jitsu journey, ensuring my children won't have too big of an advantage over their old man in the future.

B1 is a place where I learned connection is everything.

You can't grapple without it. Likewise connections are an integral part of the lifeblood of the academy. There are a very few big egos if any, so you won't have to worry.

The relationships I've found with team mates transcends into real life, and their insights, suggestions,
and opinions are dear to me.

Professor Bruce has a symbiotic relationship with every student. I feel fully connected on and off the mats. He is gracious, kind, patient, and a gentleman. Did I mention if you join he will be training you? Some schools the Professor is nowhere in sight. Rest assured you will not feel like you're on an island.

Professor Bruce ensures high safety standards. I can let you know he pays close attention to all skill levels to make sure no one gets hurt.

Professor Bruce also ensures a high hygiene standard. Not only does the academy have the largest mat space in the Fox Valley area, it's also the cleanest.

There is something for every level so you will not be left out. We have alot of females, young adults, and older practitioners.

Walking into B1 has been such a life changing decision. It has helped me feel at ease and more confident in myself being a small woman - I’m not even a year in and I have found value to learning more about this amazing sport. I have competed twice so far and have been able to apply all of Professor Bruce’s teachings in class. The community here is very friendly and feels like a family. Learning this form of martial art is not at all intimidating and builds self-confidence no matter what your age may be.
