Visited the Cleo for a tour today. Zach Bane was simply wonderful. He answered every question we had, greeted us upon entering and was so very helpful. His energy alone made me excited to begin the application process!

Edit 2: months after writing this already terrible review, my air conditioning broke. The Cleo management have NOT fixed it in A MONTH. I have been living through LA heat with broken AC for a month. This is unacceptable. I have called numerous times, spoken with the service director for the whole building and been assured it would be fixed weeks ago, it still hasn’t.

I have lived here for a year and a half.

The fire alarm has been randomly going off, up to 5 times a day, for over 6 months. I have been told FIVE times the problem is fixed.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. The fire alarms do not work and are untrustworthy, and there is a legitimate danger as a result.

Edit: I would encourage you to note down how many 5 star reviews are from “visitors” or people looking to lease, not actual residents. The front desk really pushes for good reviews and asks you to make one whenever you speak with them.

Toni and Andrew helped make my day of apartment touring smooth and painless. Toni saved the day by providing me with all the codes I’d need for my other viewings, so I could self-tour at my own pace. Andrew verified me remotely via video call, and answered all my questions— even promptly responding to my email at 4:50pm to help me get into the last unit of the day. I had a great experience touring with Equity Residential thanks to these two!

I've been living at Cleo Apartments for the past four years , and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive.

Pros:

1. Location: Cleo Apartments boast a prime location. With easy access to shopping centers, parks, and public transportation, everything I need is within reach. There are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby, making it a vibrant place to live.

2. Amenities: The amenities are top-notch. The gym is well-equipped and never too crowded, the swimming pool is pristine and perfect for relaxing, and the clubhouse is spacious and great for gatherings. I also love the outdoor grilling areas and the dog park, which are well-maintained and add to the community feel.

3. Apartment Layout: The floor plans are modern and spacious. My apartment is filled with natural light, has a large kitchen with updated appliances, and offers ample storage space. The balcony is a wonderful bonus, providing a lovely view of the courtyard.

4. Management and Maintenance: The management team is fantastic. They are responsive, friendly, and always willing to help. Maintenance requests are handled promptly, often within 24 hours. The common areas are spotless, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped.

5. Community Atmosphere: There's a real sense of community here. The neighbors are friendly, and the regular community events organized by the management team help foster a welcoming and social environment.

Conclusion:

Cleo Apartments offer an exceptional living experience. I am not sure I will end up living at the place, considering all of the extra fees for pets, but I have to say I LOVED meeting with Mati, the leasing agent! She was so sweet and such a pleasure to work with as she guided me through the application process. The place itself seems well maintained and it's in a good location.

The Cleo is a very interesting community and has an even more interesting administration. In the past several weeks, my best friend and I were well assisted with our move-in process by Zach and Mati, who are great human beings in my opinion. Although it was a rocky road with the leasing agreements and terms along with the expenses, our first-time renter experience has been pretty good so far.
