Chose this hotel because of its amenities like restaurant onsite, outdoor pool and valet. There are some upscale elements to this hotel however some improvements needed as well. What is great: comfortable bed and pillows, bright bathroom lighting, larger tv. Plenty to do if not raining: outdoor pool, pickleball courts, firepit tables, hot tub. Since we had rainy weather, we spent our off time in the restaurant. Delicious food especially the ribeye, and the brie and dates appetizer. Plenty of bourbon choices. Excellent service at restaurant by hostesses, and at lunch and also breakfast service by Mindy P. Excellent valet: Owen and James. Improvements needed : sink faucet pressure in room very weak, no bathroom fan, a/c in room didnt go below 68, a/c not working in restaurant so a/c condenser units running which caused lights to blink often, would recommend a busboy or better service at dinner by a few servers. We saw a foodrunner out a lot but server didnt come over very often and he never cleared our cocktail glasses and dishes on his visits.

Never staying here again! We have enjoyed the luxury service at Griffin Gate for more than a decade. Never again!!!|We made our reservation more than a month ago with a confirmation of a king size bedroom with a balcony. We contacted the hotel the morning of our arrival for an early check in due to our arrival time at 6pm. We did not want a left over room due to late arrival. All was confirmed. |No Valet service to assist with luggage|No concierge service|Upon arrival, we were given a left over small room with no balcony that overlooked the loading dock and waste services. We requested two extra pillows at check in, again at 7:30, then again at 9:30. Pillows finally arrived at 11:30pm|We were awakened every morning at 6:30am with the loud beeping of the waste truck pickup!|Dog, dogs everywhere inside the hotel...Small, medium and large...In the halls, elevators and rooms. None of the dogs were service dogs. We are animal lovers, but fur babies do not belong here.|We were shocked while eating breakfast in the dining room. A couple tried to enter carrying their medium size dog, after much discussion, they were finally turned away. |Kudos to the entire Dining Room staff for excellent service and attention to detail with our meals in the dining room!|This hotel was focused on servicing the two large weddings and business meetings in their conference rooms.|We will not be returning. There are many more new full service hotels in Lexington with convenient locations.|Reminder, there is a $20. Service charge for resort fees each day too, even if you do not use the resort services.|Bye, bye....Never again!

I would love to stay here. I checked my Travel Agent rates to stay there, and they are quite pricey, I assume because of the golf course.

The pool looked amazing!

I booked a two-night stay for my partner’s birthday, expecting a seamless experience based on the reservation details and staff assurances. I was informed that breakfast service was iavailable from 6 a.m. until 11 a.m. and that my dog was welcome without mention of any additional fee. Upon check-in, however, I was unexpectedly charged a pet fee, which had not been disclosed during the booking process, and breakfast was not included as the reservation suggested.

Additionally, there was no manager on-site overnight to address my concerns, nor were housekeeping services available when needed. For the price paid and the resort’s four-star rating, I anticipated a higher level of service. The pool and the hot tub both of which were quintessential in the reservation of this location, were also out of service, which put a damper on both mine and my partners stay at the Marriott. I hope this review improves the condition of this location.

Marriot Griffengate|Checked in on Saturday 14/9 on entering our room it had a mouldy / mildew smell so we opened the door and windows to let fresh air flow in. We were settling into our room when another guest opened the door as they had been allocated the same room. When their keys were cancelled ours were too. The room had what appeared to be a small kitchenette but nothing in it only a small sink…made no sense to have this space.|On Sunday we had to ask for room to be cleaned and bed made we returned around 4.30 in the afternoon and were surprised room was not done. There was still a house keeping trolley in the hallway outside our room. Spoke to Mikhail on reception who was very helpful he contacted housekeeping and was told supervisor had gone home. We were told the best they could do was change the towels. On our return after dinner the bed was roughly made. The next morning I observed housekeeping staff on what I assume was a personnel call not sure if it was a FaceTime call or they were watching a tv show. They had a phone in their hand and one on the trolley. |We have stayed here previously and are disappointed at how the hotel has gone downhill. Hallways and common areas not as clean as one would expect. and the air conditioning seemed hit and miss throughout the hotel . There were 2 portable air conditioners in the breakfast area and mould on the air conditioning vents and ceiling which is not what I consider a high standard or hygienic in a food service area. The whole dining space including the bar area is in need of an upgrade. I happened to go out one morning when there was a cleaning crew with water ,hoses and chords laying around on the front stairs with no warning signs or warning from staff as you approached the front exit. This should be considered a trip or slip hazard which could result in injury to guests. |Why are there only paper and plastic cups in the rooms? Has this hotel been down graded in the Marrriot chain? Attention to detail seemed to be lacking.|The air conditioning in our room was very loud and banged every time it cycled on and off.. it was also too cold and my husband did adjust the temperature but it did not seem to make any difference. The noise from what I can only assume were lift motors and air conditioners or generators on the roof made for a broken sleep and an uncomfortable stay. |We were booked in again for 2 nights 29th September checking out on the Tuesday 1st October but due to our latest experience we have cancelled our booking. |On a positive note Mindy , Blakelee and Natalie are wonderful assets for your hotel. It was a pleasure to be served by them at breakfast. We were always greeted with smiles and treated like old friends. Always going above and beyond to make our breakfast service enjoyable.

Rooms were basic definitely not 4-Star. Friendly and helpful staff! Very out-dated and in need of up grades! Suppose to be a romantic getaway but this is the loudest hotel I’ve stayed in ever! Huge alumni party until 4am the first night and then screaming kids the next night! And I mean non-stop screaming! We are cutting the trip short and going home! Really expected more from Marriott. We have been platinum elite members and this hotel did not live up to basic Marriott standards! Maybe we should go to Hilton from now on.
