Don't buy gas permeable lenses from Arvada Vision.

I had a checkup in December 2023 and was fitted for new gas permeable contacts. I picked them up in January 2024. 2 weeks ago which was about the 18th of August, I opened up my case to take out my contact and it was broken in half. I always take great care with my contacts and I've had a pair last me for 10 years. When I talked to the office manager Lynn....she told me the warranty was only good for 6 months. I feel that's an unreasonable warranty for a defective contact. Not only was Lynn unsympathetic she laughed like it was a joke. Very unprofessional!

I went to put in my right contact yesterday.... November 1....and it broke in half. Thank God I still had my three-year-old pair to wear. They are a much better quality and fit. As for the response I received from the owner asking me to call to see what can be done.... I called and left a message and never got a call back. Another reason to go elsewhere for my eye care.

I have been a patient for over 40 years, but was stunned by the way I was treated on the phone by front desk personnel, yesterday. I called because I was concerned that I might have a torn retina due to symptoms I was experiencing. Understandably, they could not see me, but referred me to another clinic. The number they gave was a clinic that is no longer practicing. I called back and the receptionist questioned me, insisting she had had surgery there the day before. I told her I called the number 2 times. She then struggled to find the correct number. I was getting scared and I commented that it seemed like that would be a number that would be readily available. She raised her voice to me and said, "You are being very rude to me! I am trying to help you. I remained silent and she raised her voice, more loudly, and repeated it and then hung up on me. I waited to see if she would call back. She did not call, so I called back. Another receptionist answered and very curtly gave me the number. I am considering a change in providers after a very lengthy time of being treated at Arvada Vision and having referred a number of patients.

My wife went here for a routine eye appointment which is covered under our insurance. They decided not to send the bill to our insurance and instead directly to us. We’ve called numerous times and left messages but they won’t call us back. What’s worse, the voicemail to the billing office says they had a data breach and to leave a message and not to call back. In the meantime, they continue to send the same bill in the mail and not answer their phone. This has now been going on for two months.

I don’t know if this office is scamming people but I would avoid this place unless you want to risk a billing nightmare. There are plenty of eye doctors in the area who are legitimate and actually answer the phone.

I'm having vision issues and nervous. I tried calling twice this afternoon to set up an appointment. I was hung up on both times.

It says a lot about a company when they can't get their customer service staff to pick up the phones and provide good service to customers/clients.

Will be moving on but wanted this to be known to management so they can address these concerns with their staff.....if they care.

I tried to schedule my annual visit for five times and they just put me on hold at least 10 minutes and hung up the last time.
Definitely not a good customer service, super frustrating place!
At least I hope I can get my records transferred.

I saw Stephen Bashford at the referral of my eye surgeon to manage my glaucoma. Went back to him after I was in an accident that resulted in TBI/concussion and hemorrhage into the brain stem for an eye exam to determine if my vision had changed. He did a rushed exam and determined my vision was worse after the accident but missed Petois and abnormal tracking of my eyes. I asked him if the TBI/Concussion and bleeding into the brain stem had anything to do with decreased vision He said he couldn't say, mumbled something and then rushed me downstairs to purchase a pair of glasses rather than refer me to a neuro optomistist or other specialist. The new glasses didn't work very good and I found out later after going to a neuro optomistist that my eyes were not tracking correctly because of the
accident-induced TBI. I’m in vision/eye therapy at a creditable neuro optometrist and my eye sight and tracking are improving and now have the correct eyeglasses. Also, I've had surgery to correct the ptosis that was caused by the accident. This is possibly a case of failure to diagnose, and failure to refer resulting in delayed treatment and psychological distress. Plus on top of this his billing office is still sending me bills. My next step is a complaint to the Colorado Optometry Board. By the way Dr Bashford has not even bothered to call me after I reported all this to his staff.

They were great the. Apparently went corporate and since then have been awful. Had to call 13 times to get in to get my new glasses, office manager didn’t care and blamed it on corporate. Said yeah we are short staffed and knew no one would answer phone even though she put me on hold numerous times. Sad to see another local place go bed because of corporate greed
