Fantastic Experience at John Wai Martial Arts!

I’ve been attending John Wai Martial Arts for just one week, and it’s been an incredible experience. As someone new to martial arts, I was a bit nervous to start, but I’m so glad I chose this place. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported by the amazing instructors, especially David and Mo. They are both incredibly patient, skilled, and attentive, making sure I felt comfortable and understood each technique.

David and Mo truly go above and beyond to ensure every student is learning at their own pace, and they have a great way of breaking things down for beginners like me. Their passion for teaching and martial arts is inspiring, and their encouragement has made all the difference in boosting my confidence.

Starting my martial arts journey here has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I’m excited to keep learning and improving with such an awesome team. I highly recommend John Wai Martial Arts to anyone, whether you’re new or experienced!

The best investment I’ve made for my tween. I knew nothing about martial arts before we joined the gym and 10 months later I’m so happy we did. My tween has grown stronger, more confident, more motivated, and self-regulated. The benefits have carried over into her home life & personal development. I can’t stress enough the quality of the gym & especially the coaches. The coaches are excellent role models. They are patient, motivating, & respectfully assertive. They can make a child laugh, work hard, & skillfully address a behavior that needs to be regulated. They live the values they espouse and that makes the gym feel like a place you can belong to- a gym home.

Update: I have now tried the kickboxing class too and love it! Its challenging but doable. I like that the investment is minimal, a pair or gloves & your ready to get started. I’ve been going for almost 2 months and feel stronger.

I have to say John Wai and staff are the most caring and help you to be the best . When I first started they were very patient with me in learning . I moved and cane back and they were so excited to see me as if I never left. They are very family orientated and care about the community. I have never been to a school like John Wai Martial Arts . My daughter and I started classes two weeks ago and let me just start by saying that these coaches are AMAZING! They are so great with the kids, they take their time and they keep all the classes fun, as for the adults these class are hard but they are always helping you out whether it be to give you variation or give you some words of encouragement. This place treats you as one of their own, it’s like this little family. Great place to come for children and adults. Thank you to all the staff. 10 stars

Its not everyday that someone wakes up and decides to train in a martial art. The day I decided to go through with john wai and start my membership, my life has changed for the better physically and mentally. Not only do i have the best coaches, but this gym is a great family, no need to look anywhere else, john wai is the place to be!

What I love about this gym the most is if you are a beginner this is the gym for you, If you are a parent looking for a gym for your child this is the gym for you, if you are a experienced fighter looking to start your career this is the gym for you, if you just want to get a work out in this is the gym for you. John Wai Martial Arts has found a way to make their facility a facility for everyone. Theyve taken care of me since my first day and led me to my first fight victory. This is the gym for you.

My 8 year old daughter was interested in trying out a MMA class for a while now and I’m glad I found this gym. She’s only taken a few classes yet I can truly see the passion and dedication they have towards the kids. Staff is very friendly and great with their trainings and everyone at “John Wai” seems happy to be here. Schedule is consistent and easy to adapt to and there’s classes for all ages ! Would definitely recommend this ambiance to anyone interested in martial arts.
