I couldn't be happier with our families' experience with iYa! My 5 and 7 year old have been taking classes for the last few months and I feel like we got so lucky choosing iYa. The instructors are amazing and their experience teaching to an age appropriate experience level shows! We'd heard the benefits of martial arts with improving impulse control/focus and confidence/persistence and have seen such an impact. My 7 year old likes it so much that she wanted to have her birthday party there, which was its awesome experience, and by far one of the best (and easiest!) birthday parties we've ever done. I couldn't recommend iYa more highly and am excited to see how the kids continue to grow.

iYa Taekwondo is professional , focused on fun and progress for the kids with a very friendly environment. The 4-6 year old class (Mighty Monkeys) focuses on martial arts, as well as confidence building, respect and personal safety.

Signed my daughter up about a month ago for Tiny Tigers class and she LOVES it. If you're looking for an an authentic martial arts experience for your child, it's here. The instructors are well grounded in their tradition and amazing artists. You can immediately tell by their footwork and strong stances. They also continue to pursue excellence in their own practice and instructor-ship. If your looking for a safe, welcoming, fun, community environment that is developmentally-appropriate for your child, THIS IS IT. I am a social worker who specializes in child development and a former preschool teacher and I was immediately impressed by this school. I live in the neighborhood. I checked this place out as soon as I moved here and checked the credentials and found this school to be grounded on solid disciple and was a very reputable school and knew it would be a great place for my child to learn a quality martial art. What I didn't count on was the natural abilities of the instructors to connect and channel my daughter's, shall we say, exuberance, into what I know has the potential to be a mighty martial arts tiger. They have an AMAZING circle time where they deliver simple but profound and effective anti-bullying messages as well as other aspects associated with the more internal aspects of martial arts, and my daughter absorbs it like a sponge. The message she learns from the class becomes our family theme of conversation (as directed by my child lol), until the next class. For example, she learned about breathing and calming herself and now uses that skill ALL the time. This is exactly what my child needs in her life and I'm so grateful we finally walked through the doors. We are a !Ya Taekwondo family for life!

We have been attending here for years- our kids started at ages 3 and 4. I love that they are teaching the students good character and self control, not just the physical aspects of taekwando. I would strongly recommend this to all parents!
