This dojo is great! The instructors are patient, structured, and understanding. They allow the kids to have fun while providing them with instruction, direction, and life skills. They also have numerous offerings and skills such as karate and judo.

Professor Nunnelly and his staff are patient with the young kids. They teach them good technique during class. The most valuable thing is that our son has learned discipline and improved his manners, yes Sir!

Kids Martial Arts in Rocklin has been a huge pillar in our youngest son’s and our family’s life. He started Martial Arts there at 4 years old, 3 years ago. Being the youngest of 4 kids he’s always felt the need to make his presence known and sometimes that was physically or by yelling. Mr. Nunneley and his team have helped him learn new ways to channel his frustrations and how to communicate better. We appreciate the team of teachers there so much. They have created a safe and respectful culture to nurture a great community while learning defense skills. We’re grateful for the well rounded program they’ve created and proud to be a part of the Innovative Martial Arts Family.

This is an amazing place for kids to learn martial arts. My son has been attending for a few months now and he absolutely loves it. Jake has not only boosted my son's confidence, but makes learning fun and engaging for the kids. We love going to watch my son's classes and see him constantly learning new techniques as well as discipline. Jake is a great teacher and always extremely helpful if you ever have questions. “Fun” and “happy” aren’t words one usually associates with martial arts. However, those are the two words that come to mind first when thinking of my two sons’ experience at Innovative Martial Arts.

To be honest, I wasn’t too sure about having my boys learn martial arts. I have to say, though, my mind was changed quite quickly. Over the last three years I have watched my sons learn new skills and increase their strength, confidence, and their ability to persevere when things get difficult. Jake Nunneley, owner and instructor at Innovative, is to be credited for this. He is positive and encouraging in his instruction and is one of the most patient people I have ever met. Although they work hard, his classes are fun, which keeps the kids wanting to come back and learn more.

Aside from the positive atmosphere, I also appreciate the flexibility in scheduling. Classes are held 6 days a week and you are free to choose the classes that fit best with your schedule. I also appreciate the fact that there are no testing/belt fees.

I highly recommend Innovative Martial Arts. I can’t imagine taking my kids anywhere else.

The staff here are so amazing! They are attentive, passionate, and really help you learn. I started taking my kid here and she loved it, so I thought I'd give it a shot too. Best decision I've made in regards to my physical health! It's a tough workout, but it's so much fun. Jake and the rest of the IMAA family have been a pleasure to work with, and I can't wait to continue my martial arts journey with them!

We've googled and yelped different martial arts school for our 2 sons and out of all them in the Roseville and Rocklin area, we went with Innovative Martial Arts in Lonetree Blvd. Well it turned out to be the best choice we've made. My sons have been going here for almost 3 months now and we've seen great improvements in terms of their focusing/listening skills and their confidence has been developed to the point that they would even volunteer to demonstrate an exercise or karate move in front of other kids. My sons were very shy to start with so seeing them having the confidence now makes us very proud and happy. Mr. Jake Nunneley and all the instructors are really great with kids, very patient and consistent. They make classes full of fun and excitement for the kids. My boys do not want to miss a class. I highly recommend Innovative Martial Arts to all parents who are in search for the best martial arts school.

My son has been attending since April 2015 and he loves his instructor Jake. I would highly recommend this facility if you want to learn Martial Arts, Judo or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The instruction is fantastic and Jake does a great job especially with the youngsters. My son has developed tremendously both physically and mentally since he started.
As far as the facilities, they are small with limited seating for spectators, but they are clean and the instructors use top of the line equipment.
The cost is very reasonable especially for how many classes are available for each level of instruction.
