My 4 years old son absolutely loves Master James taekwondo class every Tuesday. He is definitely a great instructor with plenty of knowledge. It is good overall training for kids.

Our daughter takes classes at her daycare and she just loves it! She is 4.5 years old and her self confidence is booming when it comes to self defense. She comes home and loves to show us what she learned from Master James. So convenient and a great extra curricular! Definitely recommend Lone Star Self Defense if you're considering signing your child(ren) up!

Great teacher, the martial art style is a great mix of various martial arts. The self-defense is very practical and the teacher makes an effort to make sure it is realistic and effective. He also is very open to questions. If anyone is interested in learning martial arts, I would highly recommend this place.

The kid's Martial arts paid off today. I was at Home Depot with all three and as usual they were horse playing. My son slid into my youngest from behind taking her feet out from underneath her. She did a back fall perfectly instead of a broken skull she never even stopped laughing. Thanks Lonestar Defense and Master James Stewart.

My son Landen took classes with Master James for 2 years (pre-K and accelerated Pre-K) at Childrens Lighthouse and adores him. He is a great little athlete now, and I believe strongly that his time with Lone Star influenced this 🙂

I would love to give it more, but I can't. The customer service is awful. After I posted a review about how classes are cancelled and nobody is notified, and how parents are allowed to interrupt classes, I was asked to remove it. So disappointing... There's way better places out there, I've been to 2 and going back to them.

I was asked to remove a review on facebook. I served my country for 12 years, I'll be damned if some kid is going to let his wife "bust his balls" as he said, to remove my post. I fought for that right, and I will post exactly how awful the communication and waste of time & money it is coming here.

Also, you will receive false charges. He will not even talk to you he will only text, actually he doesn't even let you talk, he hangs up on you. I guess that's how a 28 year old runs a business.

He does daycare training at a few centers, including my sons, and apparently at Children s Lighthouse in Rockwall he was so bad that they had to talk to him several times about cancelling class and not showing. Another mother o goes Sat at 9:30 AM says the same thing, actually she waited 2 weeks and had to PHYSICALLY GO UP THERE to discuss the false charges on her account.

It's just a pathetic way to run a business, very pathetic.
