Fantastic academy and instructors! I’m a visitor from St. Louis and have dropped in a couple times. They are very competent and welcoming at this location. The students are great, and I always look forward to visiting when I can make it to this facility. The mats are impeccably clean as well as the rest of the facilities. GB N Orlando is flat out amazing! Professor Gutty is not only an incredible instructor but also an incredible person. My son has been training since he was 5, and I’ve been training for 2 years. I can’t say more good things about GB N Orlando. The instruction starting in Fundamentals led by Prof Lawrence is welcoming, safe, and respectful. He really cares for each student and puts his heart and soul into each students development. The advanced class led by Prof Gutty is awesome, fun, incredibly challenging, and has given me so much confidence and satisfaction. He will spend as much time as needed to help and is always approachable. Professor Marco is also somebody that puts his heart and soul into his students and has helped me tremendously. Actually all the black belts (any belt for that matter) help, guide, and teach us lower belts both technique and the “art” of grappling. If you want to join a community of really incredible people all pursuing a higher version of themselves thru the medium of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, this is the place to be.

Everything Jiu-Jitsu Is About

I was referred to this gym by a friend of mine who has been coming here for a long time. I’m in town for work for the next few months and I wasn’t about to slack on my jiu jitsu. All I can say is what an incredible team. The professors - ALL of them (and there are MANY); are nothing short of phenomenal, and all of the students have been amazing training partners. Open mats are a great turnout with each person setting up new challenges. Everyone is friendly, approachable, looks out for each other, and is always open to any questions you may have. I’ve also never had so many female training partners, that alone is such a cool advantage to being here.

I had been talking to Professor Lawrence before I got to town and he gave me a list of the things that set them apart from the other gyms in the area and he couldn’t have been more right. The facility is 2 stories with the ability to teach fundamentals and advanced classes at the same time, allowing each level to progress with the same opportunities. Sabrina is a fantastic resource and role model for every female of every age that steps foot onto the mats. And if those reasons weren’t enough, the CrossFit section as well as the free weights, bag area, and Muay Thai classes are another huge perk.

I lived in Orlando for a long time before moving away, my only disappointment is that I didn’t find this place sooner. I’m looking forward to my next couple months with these guys and though I love and miss my home team in PA-I know without a doubt I will miss this team a lot. Thank you guys for being so welcoming and providing such an awesome training environment for everyone. OSS!
