I've taken a couple classes with David (The owner) now. The first time I met him he came to my church to promote F.A.S.T.E.R. Saves Lives. I took the fundamentals class. The second class I really got to see what kind of person David is, this was in the Basic Pistol Instructor course. He makes it a point to make everyone feel comfortable, and he gave us, future instructors, tips on how to approach people who have had trauma, people who are handicapped, and women, so that they feel safe and comfortable in our classes.

David put us through the ringer to make sure we were ready to teach and ensure people learned safe firearm handling and help us avoid being hurt in class. He is a great teacher and I hope to learn more from him in the future. Can't recommend him enough.

Excellent training, beautiful facility, and a great experience that I will be enthusiastically recommending!
Firearms Trainer, Dave Laird, was our instructor on 3.29.20 for two classes: Precision Pistol and Holster Fundamentals. These two back-to-back same-day classes offered individualized hands-on training that took me and my fellow students, at a comfortable pace, from the basics of firearm use through to having us drawing a firearm from a concealed carry position within 1.5 seconds, and accurately firing on our intended target!
These are skills that I will use in my ongoing firearms training, and I believe they have set me up for success as a Responsibly Armed Citizen.

I have now taken 2 classes with DCS Training, their CCW class and their Precision Pistol 1 class. I have participated in classes before, but I can honestly say I will be training with these Instructors from now on.
Every class starts with a safety brief, firearms inspection, and instructor/student introductions. The instructors are heavily invested in your learn and they make it clear from the word go. No matter the size of the class they will work with you individually to help you achieve your goals and they will praise you when you succeed.
The classes are affordable and the instructors know what ammo costs these days so they make every round count in the class. You can go anywhere an find a "trainer" who is going to "train" you. Now if you want to learn in an environment that is conducive to your learning, to reach your personal goals, from someone who is invested in your learning. Then do what I did and call DCS Training.

I've taken several training courses with DCS, including Basic Pistol and NRA instructor training courses. Dave is an exceptional instructor and has a unique ability to offer quality instruction to both beginner and advanced shooters. Highly recommended.

DCS Training ran classes at Joe Foss Range in Buckeye this weekend, these were classes we needed for compliance and self improvement - NRA RSO, NRA BIT and NRA CRSO.
I found David to be an excellent instructor, a great mentor and was able to accomodate my needs at a neuro divergent student.
His way of explaining things and backing up with demonstrations made the lessons easy to absorb and the pertinent points were retained. His manner is easy to like and I look forward to taking additional training in the future.

From one Firearms Instructor to another. David and his fellow instructors are definitely 5 stars in my book. I think I am very critical when it comes to reviewing other instructors. After co instructing with Gary and Dave, then attending one of DCS's CCW classes, I can easily give them a 5 star rating. Better yet, I recommend my students to their CCW classes and even for some pistol instruction when I think DCS would be a better fit for the student! Great job educating the community on firearm safety guys!

Took the pistol precision class today 4/2/21 with David Laird as my instructor. It was an awesome time! I had a blast as well took a lot of new information in. Dave was very professional but easy going. He was very helpful with picking up my bad habits in such a short time together and being able to help correct them. I totally plan on coming back and doing more classes with DCS. In the mean time he did give some good homework and dry fire drills to do to improve your skills. I would recommend David at DCS to anybody that's looking to improve their skills of any level.

DCS is the training solution I've been looking for. Exceptional instructors and great course curriculum's with Dave Laird at the helm. Took the 8-Hour Fighting Pistol course and chomping at the bit to take more.
